Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Polyglyph ("the site," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. The short version: the site does its work entirely inside your own browser, and the text you convert is never sent to us or stored on a server.
1. The text you convert
Polyglyph is a client-side tool. When you type or paste text to convert it into Morse code, binary, Braille, runes or any other format, that conversion runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never transmitted to us, never stored, and never logged. When you close the tab, it is gone. We do not operate user accounts and do not ask for any personal information to use the site.
2. Information stored on your device
To remember your preferences, the site saves a small amount of data in your browser's local storage:
- Your chosen interface language (for example, English or ํ๊ตญ์ด).
- Your chosen colour theme (light or dark).
This information stays on your device, is not personal, and is not sent anywhere. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
3. Share links
If you use the "Share" feature, the text you entered is placed into a web address (URL) so the link can reopen the converter with that text. This happens only when you choose to create or open a share link. We do not receive or record these links.
4. Cookies and advertising
We may display advertising on this site, including through Google AdSense. To support this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's policy.
Third-party ad networks may place or read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information as a result of ads being served. This process is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
5. Analytics
We aim to keep the site simple and privacy-respecting. We do not use analytics tools that build a personal profile of you. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and describe what is collected and why.
6. Children's privacy
Polyglyph is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Your choices
You are always in control. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalised ads using the links above, and clear the site's locally stored preferences at any time. Disabling cookies will not stop the converter from working, since the conversions run locally.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
9. Contact
